Yoroi Extension allows users to connect their Trezor hardware wallets to manage ADA. This means you can connect your Trezor Model T to our browser extension and safely transact ADA, delegate, receive or send native tokens, etc and your private keys will always remain offline on the Trezor device.
Before you start, make sure your devices are ready. Here are some key points to check:
- You have the latest version of Yoroi. In principle, browser extensions are updated automatically but you can also update them manually in your browser's settings.
- You have successfully initialized your device in Trezor Suite.
- Your Trezor device firmware is up to date.
Now, open Yoroi and go to Connect to hardware wallet > Cardano > Trezor Hardware wallet > Standard wallet. Then you'll see prerequisites to successfully connect your Trezor. After following them, click Next > Connect. You will be redirected to connect.trezor.io where you need to give Yoroi permissions to communicate and export the public key from the Trezor device. Once Yoroi received the key, you will be redirected back to Yoroi (at thie point, you can change the name you see'll see in Yoroi or simply leave it as it is) and then all you need to do is click Save. Your Cardano wallet should now appear in the Dashboard.
What's next? You can receive, store, and send ADA and Cardano native tokens. You can also delegate your ADA to support the network and earn rewards.
You will need to connect your Trezor to confirm all transactions (excl. receiving funds).
